GTA V ranks in the same tier of the greatest GTA games as Vice City and Red Dead Redemption. The attention to detail and the addition of truly accurate aviation puts this game as a must own in a gamer’s portfolio of games. Another unique quality of GTA V is the ability to morph between three different characters at any given time. Each character has it’s own extensive amount of missions, however, certain missions require you to switch between all three during a single mission. This game combines all of your favorite attributes from each of the previous GTA games, but in typical GTA sequel fashion, they’ve added a myriad of new detailed functions that makes this game addicting putting your personal life at risk for a good two weeks minimum. GTA V allows for different views of first person or third person shooter capabilities, whichever you prefer. I give this game 4.5 stars out of 5.
Whether by air, by land or by sea, Rock Star has officially given you, the gamer, a bit of everything in GTA V. With new concepts including flight lessons, jet-ski racing, or just robbing your local liquor store, GTA has once again demonstrated to the gaming world why they are the pinnacle of video game excellence. GTA V rolls up all of the series into one big ball providing for the ultimate criminal experience. You want to go deep sea diving exploring underwater bunkers for chemical weapons? There’s a mission for that. You want to utilize heavy machinery through a marine salvage yard picking up cargo? There’s a mission for that. You want to hunt wild-life throughout the great outdoors? There’s a mission for that. How about testing the stock market by buying and selling stocks to try to improve your cash flow? Well, you can do that at any time. Or maybe you’re into just lounging around the house watching TV or playing with the dog. You guessed it….you can even do that as well. This game breaks down the proverbial borders of limitations as it relates to gaming. Important to note is the graphic nature and language of the game which takes it to an all-time high or low depending on how you look at it, but make no mistake about it….much like that 90’s Pringles commercial: Once you start, you can’t stop.
