As Cars 3 the Movie hits the big screen created by Pixar and Disney, the Video Game however, was contracted out to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Avalanche Software. The Official name of the game is Cars 3: Driven to Win. The plot picks up after the events of the third film. The game play allows players to pick their favorite categories and race them through the best locations in the movie. Cars 3 is about the rise and fall of lightning McQueen, who enlists a new trainer to get him back in shape and ready to take on the new generation of rising stars. Featuring twenty custom vehicles and newly announced characters like school bus Miss Fritter, the game is available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, 360, Wii U and Nintendo Switch. The reasoning for Disney contracting the Video Game franchise out, is due to the shutdown of Disney Interactive Studios, which had began to have a reputation for possibly putting out better Video Games then sometimes movies themselves. Many believe this was the case with Cars 2, the Video Game which was released in 2011. Generally acknowledged to actually be better then Cars 2 the movie it's self. Car's 2 the Video game was one of the year's best games and a worthy Competitor to the Mario Kart franchise.
